The Tlell Fall Fair is a local event held the Saturday and Sunday before BC Day every year. The Fair is held within Tlell area, within Naikoon Provincial Park on Haida Gwaii. Tlell is the Agricultural and Farming hub of the island

The Tlell Fall Fair

Like many agricultural fairs we have events and exhibitions of local items. The Saturday is for exhibitors to bring in their category items to be judged at a documented Provincial Standard, that evening. This gives people a chance to showcase their Animals, garden produce, arts and crafts, quilting, photography, baking and flowers and much more on the Sunday. The Sunday is the day that provides educational demonstrations and information on raising livestock and growing produce.

This event promotes and demonstrates sustainable Agricultural here on Haida Gwaii. There are Food Vendors, Information Booths, Retail Vendors, Live Entertainment, A cooking competition “Seafood Wars” and games and event for children. The Fair brings together 1300 plus locals and visitors each year for a celebration of our Islands community and local sustainability in a fun and family-oriented way.

Tlell Fall Fairgrounds

The Tlell Fall Fairgrounds are located in Naikoon Park at the community of Tlell. The Fairgrounds are managed by the Graham Island East Coast Farmers Institute and Operated by the Tlell Fall Fair Board, an arms length committee of the Institute.

What Is At The Fairgrounds

The Fairgrounds consists of a large enclosed structure with hot and cold running water  and wall mounted drop down side tables. It is used as an exhibit hall during the Tlell Fall Fair, There is also an Outdoor covered stage with enclosed backstage area. there are four Outhouses and power strategically placed aroung the field. 

What Happens At the Fairgrounds

The Fairgrounds are the Home of Tlell Fall Fair, the Earliest Fall Fair in British Columbia. It is also the current home of the Edge of the World Music Festival. The area is also used as a Wedding Venue, Family Reunions, Seniors Barbeques, School Camping Trips and  much more.
